Update

We just got back from a very short trip to Salt Lake to see the Dr., and got what should end up being the final diagnosis:

• He has to have grafts on some of his fingers on one hand
  
• No grafts on his back, palms, or anywhere else; they will heal by themselves
  
• His head has healed, his leg is healed, most of his hands have healed*

This is about as good of news as we could have expected. Better than we expected is that we can cut back on a lot of the bandaging he's had to do and we get to go home the same day of the surgery.

*By 'healed', they mean the skin has regrown healthily. His skin is not back to normal and cannot be in the sun for a year.
