Aunt Alissa Saves the Day!

Will was into the hospital for a quick out-patient surgery on Monday. He just needed some little revisions on his circumcision. But it was still a little scary for us. We had heard stories about how crazy kids can be as they come out of the anesthetic, so we were prepared. But he ended up not needing the first drug that they usually give them before the anesthetic for making them sleepy and loopy (for whatever reason) because it was going to be such a quick surgery. And rather than getting the anesthetic by IV, he just had a mask over his face, so when he came out, he was fine. He wasn't even crying when they handed him over to us. He was a little uncomfortable (understandably), but he nursed right away, and has been fine since. It is still a bit painful for him, but he seems to be recovering well.

We were so lucky that Grandma and Grandpa Holm could drop Aunt Lissy off to stay with us for the week on their way back from Chicago. She was here to watch the big boys during the surgery, so James could some with me. She also helped take care of Will after the surgery and kept us stocked in all kinds of delicious baked goods. :) I love my sis, and it was so fun to have some girl time with her. It's hard for me to get enough of that these days. What a gal. And a big thanks to Grammy Holm for coming to get Alissa to take her home and to Grandpa for living without her while she did it. Having Alissa for the past week made a scary, stressful time for me into a fun and relaxing time.

Yay for Alissa! I hope Will is still recovering well. My sister is coming to save my day (actually, month) when Janson goes to SLC. Yay for sisters!
