This is completely unrelated to our normal fare, but my good friend Abby was recently fired from her job as a law professor in Ethiopia after discussing human rights in her human rights class (go figure) and writing about her students' reactions. Interestingly, her little exercise is getting some coverage in African and legal blog/news circles.
Here is to honest discourse, and (no doubt) parlaying getting fired into a better job.
